  Fellow Fulbrighter Anthony Cho spearheaded a group of Fulbright teachers in the Jeollanam-do region to put on a Youth Diplomacy and Activism Conference (YDAC) for a select group of students interested in careers in public diplomacy from our respective schools.

  Students prepared resolutions on various topics of their choosing (educational reform, banking reform & the Occupy Wall Street movement, greater efforts to capture Lord’s Resistance Army, etc.) and debated them in a public forum among their peers. Later, they were given a mock crisis scenario which they had to respond to as representatives of the South Korean government. 

  Amazing work done by the ETAs in terms of organization, and even more done by the students, who had to speak in English all day about challenging and difficult topics. Thanks to the American Embassy for providing the funds and space to make the experience happen.
